For the questions with multiple answers, all of the selections made must be correct in order to receive credit for answering the question correctly. Please contact ETS as soon as possible to report any irregular behavior that is either observed or reported to you — for example, someone copying from another test taker, taking a test for someone else, having access to test questions or answers before the test or using notes or unauthorized aids.
All information is held in strictest confidence. You must resolve all issues shown in red and pass the equipment check prior to checking in for your test.

This will not affect the amount of time you have to complete the test. The timer for your test does not begin until the proctor enters the password. If you have a technical issue during your test that prohibits you from speaking to the proctor, notify the proctor via the LogMeIn chat function.
If you lose your internet connection momentarily, you'll automatically be reconnected to the proctor when your connection is restored. If your exam can be reopened, your proctor will do so for you. If you are not able to reconnect and speak to the proctor via the LogMeIn chat function, call ProctorU at for assistance.
After completing the GRE General Test, you will be given the opportunity to report or cancel your scores. Because of the Analytical Writing essay scoring process, you will not be able to view your Analytical Writing score. After you have completed the test and viewed your scores, you can choose up to four score recipients on test day as part of your test fee.
Your official scores will be sent to them 10—15 days after your test date. For more information, see Sending Your Scores. You can also send score reports to institutions after test day for a fee. See Ordering Additional Score Reports. Nothing is subtracted from a score if you answer a question incorrectly. Therefore, to maximize your scores, it is best to answer every question. You may have noticed that each GRE math section is five minutes longer than the verbal section. So if you end up getting a Quant section for an experimental section, expect to spend another five minutes in the testing center. Better to be safe than sorry. While the actual exam takes about four hours, you should plan on spending at least four and a half hours from the time you walk into the test center until the end of the test.
Sometimes you have to have your picture taken and be observed putting all your things in a locker. The minimum time before you sit down at the computer is five minutes. You can also have the unenviable experience of getting stuck behind a line of people. In these extreme cases, you may have to wait as long as twenty minutes to actually sit down at the computer. There can be any number of hiccups. This process may take as long as 15 minutes. They will ask you your name, your level of education, the level of education of your parents, and a whole slew of other questions that they use for statistical purposes.
You do not need to take this minute break, but for a better test score—and your sanity—I highly recommend you do.
