The rebellion, at its core is a struggle over who reigns. The struggle is insidious and entraps me, together with others and even groups of people in a destructive opposition to God and all the good that flows from God. Jesus was recognized by the power opposed to God as one with God and as a result Jesus was captured and murdered. Personal faith statements can develop from favorite Bible verses or the lyrics to a favorite hymn.
